Top Albums Of 2010

So this is about the 3^rd or 4^th year of my top 10 albums of the year. 1^st a couple of things no 10 this year. I could only find 8 albums that I thought should be recognized this year. I could of made it 10 but I just felt like as good as the 9^th and 10^th choices were I would have just been adding them just to make it 10. I couldn’t do that. Also let me say as I always do. I still pay for music, So I don’t have every album that came out this year, So if you see something missing its no diss its probably because I didn’t hear it. It may sound crazy that I still pay for music in times like this but I like doing it for several reasons. One of the best things about it to me is that it kinda forces you to listen to music more. I noticed that when people have unlimited access to music they don’t take time to soak in an album and let it grow on you or off you the way you would when you purchase music. When you pay for it, you tend to sit with it longer, because it will be sometime until your next purchase. I still try to space out how often I buy music. I try to let an album sit on heavy rotation for about 2 weeks before I buy some new music.

Also this list is different. 2010 was a good year in the sense that some of my favorite bands came back out with albums this year and I fell In love with a couple of new bands who instantly made it to the list.This is the list of the Best albums in my opinion not my favorite if I did a favorite list it would probably be the same albums just  a different order. Soo Heeere we go!

 

8- Avenged SevenFold-Nightmare

(they never disappoint. One of my favorite bands. They got way heavier on this album but also grander in sound. Well Done as usual)

7-The Damned Things-Ironiclast

(this is probably my favorite or second favorite album of this year. 3 guitars!, mind            blowing lyrics, Not one slow song on the whole album! This is what rock and role is suppose to be about!)

6-My Chemical Romance-Danger Days

(its MCR they never disappoint. It took a long time for them to drop this album but it was worth the wait. To go from the Darkness of the black Parade to the light and color of this album and still maintain the quality and swagger is no easy feat but they did it. The whole package and visual to accompany the music it what makes them dope!)

5-Rick Ross-Teflon Don

(Short sweet, and Killer. The production on here is crazy. Rozay’s lyrics are iller than ever! One of the only Hip-Hop albums I brought this year!)

4-Kings Of Leon-Come Around Sundown

(only by the night was their breakout album and this was the most solid and consistent follow-up to a breakout I ever heard. Most bands when they go from that small budget to that big budge they get all crazy and get the strings ,orchestras and extra stuff. This album is The last album just Better. The bass player owns the whole Album tho! OWNS IT)

3-Kanye-My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

(what can I say that hasn’t been said?)

2-The gaslight Anthem-American Slang

(this is probably my favorite band of 2010. The thing that makes this album so good is that they created a consistent mood and vibe thru-out the whole record. When you look at the album cover you feel that vibe in every song.I listen to it and I feel like I’m out on the lower east side of NY going thru it with them. That’s amazing to me I hope I can make music like that one day.

1-The Black Key-Brothers

(Sonic Crack Plain and Simple. I was Driving and someone played me one song of theirs and then I went and brought this album. It’s addictive. No matter how much new music I get I always go back to this album in between. Every song Dope top to bottom.Amazing. this is going to be one of my favorite albums for life I think.
